We're in about 5,500 classrooms around the country currently.
And increasingly, schools, teachers, curriculum authorities, and even governments around the country are starting to come on board and understand this messaging, understanding this
that you need to teach kids before they get a smartphone in their hand.
You have to start teaching them how to think critically about stuff that they see when they're online.
And it's the best protection that we're going to have as a society to the many undesirable side effects of the digital age that our kids are going to grow up to live in.
Yeah, absolutely.
And all of those countries are now going to be watching very carefully to see what works and what doesn't here in Australia.
And that's where this next big test of the ban is going to be so crucial.
Will the eSafety Commission issue fines to big tech platforms in the next month or so, as has been foreshadowed?
And will the tech platforms agree to pay those fines, if indeed that's what happens, or potentially take legal action over them?
Mm-hmm.
So how the ban is enforced is really the next big test to watch because so far it seems like the difference to the teens themselves hasn't been as dramatic as you might think.
And there is some very, very powerful lobby groups who are not very happy about the social media ban and they have the ear of a certain US president.
