And then, you know, the line out more, the dominance for Slade, have been able to get a line out more drive.
Delta Papali, been able to get a quick pick and go to be able to score a try.
So overall, take away that five minutes, Chipper, it was a pretty very, very well controlled performance.
And I think even like Finlay Christie, his ability to be able to go to the kicking game and the game management with Bodie and whatnot, there was a lot to like in and around with how they did play.
I look at their attacking stats, like 51 defenders beaten.
And eight line breaks, 442 post-contact minutes, 224.
there definitely is kind of I guess that kind of litmus test that we did touch on against the Chiefs and look when they do get an opportunity to play a New Zealand team those kind of areas when it is tight are they going to be able to make the right decision because I did have here on my notes the 22-2 nervous even with that really good attacking stats but you know what I did enjoy two other things that I enjoyed like
I don't know if you've seen this we've touched around their depth and been able to get wide to wide and they're very very good in and around that because you know they do get a good advantage over the line so when you are a defensive team and you are running backwards you have the ability to be able to get the ball to the edge and they do that very very well the Hurricanes but what I do like about them as well around their exit play Jipper is that you know they've got Cam Roriga that they can use they've got they've got Ruben Love that they can use but
They look and see where the space is, like if you're tight, they'll get that quick shift to Geordie, they'll get a cross field kick or they'll be able to use their hands to be able to go 20, 30 metres to be able to try and make a bend or they can kick from the edge.
If they find themselves that they're having a lick and they don't get what they're wanting from the pitch that they saw, then they can go back to a contestable off love or they can go from Cam Rourke who's got a cannon or been able to get the height of the ball.
35 kicks, I thought, even with the attacking set that I did touch on, they had a really good balance in and around the game.
And lastly, their defence, the 90% tackle rate.
And I reckon like Finnegan or Norfolk, I know he scores tries, but...
His decision making with their wingers, being able to get high to be able to stop pressure and then being able to score tries off that is a really good weapon and really good understanding that that group does have and now I know Billy Proctor is probably a big part of that because with how he does defend, very good in and around communicating, making decisions and working with his wingers but they scored two defensive tries in the second half through Fingal and Norfolk and there was a barge where I think there was a kick in behind, they did a counter-ruck, I think it was Warner Derns or I can't remember who it was and they were able to use their click attack from that so
I just think the defensive work operating at 90%, the decision-making around their wingers getting high with Finnegan on all four, whoever it may be on the edge.
I just think their exits, Jipper, kicking on the run, seeing the pitcher.
If they don't, they can go back to the kind of 35 kicks in the balance of the contestable game, kicking long through Geordie, Geordie Barrett, Ruben Love and Cam Ruger.
I think it was a contestable kick and they made a tackle and the first defender coming over the ruck went through and blitzed it kind of like a counter-ruck.
Yep, so that would be the term using the barge.
It's obviously a trend that they saw with the Drua.
