So, yeah, it's, well, jeez, whenever you're in the backfield, it's really hard to be able to do that.
They do it a lot in league.
I think, like, the guy that used to play for the Bulldogs, Burton, he'd actually be able to touch the wire or the roof with the way that he does kick the ball.
Oh, the NFL?
No drinking drive, exactly.
Sorry.
But yeah, just with the escort rule, Ross, you're not able to be able to block anymore.
So if you can get it right within that 20-25 roll or even that kind of torpedo bomb to make it move a little bit, it's a good weapon.
Especially with now free kicks off a lot of ways, whether through your scrums or even off your line out not straight.
So you pretty much get a free kick.
So there's a lot more opportunities to be able to get that torpedo bomb or just contestables in general.
This is a long time ago, but during the Lions series, Bryn Gatland actually did one pretty much aiming for the middle of the post.
It was pretty much off a line out.
You had a line that was pretty much set, and you're pretty much kicking it right into the middle of the post.
So there's no fallback, really.
There's nobody in that positioning, and you're pretty much going back to try and get that ball.
So, yeah, I think it's a really good weapon.
You know, if you can get a sua lehi in the middle of the field and pop one up, he's pretty much going up with nobody in front of him, and they're all chasing backwards.
So, yeah, it's a good ploy, I reckon, as well.
maybe it's the ford in me i'm just saying don't waste it so i think what you have seen is more little chips in behind like being able to get it from a a 57 giving it straight to the the nine or the ten whoever may be then being able to get it to that second post because you've got you know you get your your blind some wing or your tent in that kind of um 15 meter area same as the fullback so
