And if you talk around all the things you just touched on there, Ross, what's something that's been really consistent and that's been playing consistently?
It is the Japan Top League.
And now the only unfortunate thing around that is that there's no salary cap.
So, you know, you look in terms of like Super Rugby, there is a salary cap for players and, you know, whatever that pool looks like.
And I think...
you know, if you're looking at talent wise and all the players that are over here, it'd be great to get the top four teams, I think, you know, in the, in the Japan top league to play in super rugby.
And if there was a possibility within obviously the structures of the competition and thinking of being a little bit fixable in and around that, but I just think,
The bad thing, not the bad thing about Japan, the companies control everything over here.
And Jipper probably knows this in around working with the Players Association that, you know, their interests are for themselves in terms of the company that they work in, whether it's a Toshiba, Toyota, Kubota, or whoever it may be, Panasonic, you know, their interests are just in and around Japan topic and their structure around how they want to run the competition.
you know they do love the idea like you look if you come over here to japan and you see the supporters for kiwis australians south africans and how much support there is for those players and just the teams in general there's a fan base that's screaming out that loves that kind of style and loves it still talk about super rugby to this day but as jip knows it's very very hard to be able to deal with them when the companies have a massive um i guess involvement and influence around how they they use their players domestically and probably even in international if they went back to super rugby
Every game is pretty much close to a cellar or very, very good crowds.
Like, you know, most of the stadiums I think are really, really well sized, kind of your 15, 20,000.
Now, even, you know, last year we played in the final and 65,000 people turn up for both of those for that final.
they do it very very well in terms of the i guess during the regular season having those 14 15 000 crowds and um you know teams are very very well supported here i think there are a lot of tokyo teams here but they're also teams outside of tokyo that are one one teams in one city and they get some really good
support so i think if you're looking when you know you boys have probably seen a little bit like when you see it from a fight or watch a game against rico or suntory you see bright colors have been able to see pack stands and the broadcasting and how many players and how many um people watch it over here is really good so
To your point around if we had an opportunity to be able to get Japan back into Super Rugby Pacific, it would just be a great way money-wise, but also the level of players that are here.
But again, there's probably too much of a hard basket in so many areas due to salary caps and the companies having too much influence on the competition.
that's not the profit that's the revenue but you know all the same probably with the teams that were that we kind of touched on that that did fall out of the competition money is a big part of it and you know i think with with japan having a salary cap and the private investors and you talk around like toyota panasonic whoever may be having the amount of money to be able to invest um in great players facilities and whatever it may be um yeah it's just it's how we're able to get back into that market um i think like jupiter did say and even when we were playing you know
Being able to go to Japan and experience what that does look like is a great experience.
And I think the brand of footy that they do play over here as well, it's a great brand of footy to watch.
