It's a relationship with the audience.

Now, a wrestler might think they have a relationship.

Just because you get cheers and boos doesn't mean you have a relationship with your audience.

That's your audience reacting to what you do.

That doesn't mean there's a true relationship.

That doesn't mean there's true emotional investment.

And I come from a company where there was the most genuine and real emotional investment that I have ever been a part of in wrestling, and that's ECW.

When you see people reaching over a guardrail,

to help pick up Tommy Dreamer.

That's real emotional investment.

When you walk out to your car and there's bricks through your windows, that's true emotional investment.

And Punk has had that for so long.

And when Roman says, they chanted your name for 10 fucking years.
