That sentiment was echoed by White House spokesman John Kirby, who said the drones do not pose a security risk. Some have speculated their insistence that they don't belong to an adversary and aren't a threat is evidence the craft belonged to our military, but the Pentagon doesn't want to confirm it on the record.
