I took a quick look at like, you know, Kate Smith.
No, I think hands down, Louis Varlin is the most valuable reliever right now in the American League.
And I would say at this point in the season, he gets my vote for Blue Jays MVP.
Because if I'm thinking of who's been consistent from the start of the season to right now, there's not a lot of guys.
I mean, there's been a lot of injuries.
There's been a lot of inconsistency.
Even Kevin Gosman, obviously he had a clunker yesterday.
I don't hold that against him.
But I'm just saying, I think from start to finish, or not finish, but start to this point, where we're at in the season, I think Louis Varlin's been the most consistent player on the team.
Yeah, and you have the challenge system now so that when umpires do miss it, you have that opportunity to challenge them and to correct the call.
Obviously, Valenzuela still learning the league a little bit.
And as you point out, sometimes when you have a couple bad challenges and they don't go your way, you get a little bit tentative with them.
And I think that that was something that
Chris LaRue talked about also on the broadcast was that he can't be that tentative back there.
He has to kind of be more aggressive, especially when he sees it.
And he knows the zone.
He knows he knows the zone, too.
