This is Rugby Daily on Off the Ball with Bank of Ireland, a proud sponsor of Irish rugby, never stop competing.
The IRFU have led the tributes to their former chief executive, Philip Brown, who's died at the age of 66.
Joining the organisation in 1992, Brown was appointed to the role six years later, staying until his retirement at the end of 2021.
He guided the union through the transition to the professional era with success for both the men's and women's teams and also was a major driver behind the redevelopment of Lansdowne Road into the Aviva Stadium.
His successor Kevin Potts paid tribute to Brown yesterday saying that the scale of Phillips' contribution to Irish rugby cannot be overstated.
James Lowe will reportedly join Japanese club Tokyo Suntory Sun Goliath at the end of this season.
The winger is set to leave Leinster after nine seasons this summer when his contract expires.
He had never been on an IRFU national contract and it's believed that Ireland head coach Andy Farrell was keen to retain Lowe for next year's World Cup.
The 42 report that Lowe was offered a one-year contract extension by Leinster with significantly reduced terms, and yesterday they reported that Lowe is heading to the Tokyo-based franchise on a two-year deal.
He will likely replace Springboks winger Cheslin Colby, who's returning to his homeland to link up with the Stormers ahead of next season.
Saracens are investigating an alleged incident over the weekend involving one of their players and the England cricket captain Ben Stokes.
Multiple outlets report that an academy player was involved in an altercation in a London nightclub on Sunday night, along with Stokes and the team's pace bowler Gus Atkinson.
The cricketers were out following their test win over New Zealand in Lourdes that day, despite a curfew being imposed on the squad amid accusations of a drinking culture within the team.
Stokes' future as captain is now in doubt over the incident.
Now, the identity of the Saracens Academy player has not been made public yet, but the club have released a statement in response to the incident.
The club is currently establishing the full facts and is in contact with the relevant authorities and individuals involved, Saracens said.
Once this process is complete, the matter will be reviewed and addressed appropriately."
