inexperienced goalkeeper you send that straight up to your two big strikers first time you play in their half you don't take any chances and I can't believe he's done that he'll be so disappointed and listen it's going to be a huge test of character now I've been there myself in high profile games and made mistakes it's really difficult to deal with and as I said if you're Celtic you're throwing everything on top of the goalkeeper now
Yeah, listen, any ball that comes to him now, the next 10 minutes is key for him.
Anything that comes his way, whether it's a pass back or a shot or a cross that he needs to deal with, he needs to really focus.
And as I said, he'll be really disappointed.
He can't change it.
He can't change it now.
I mentioned the character of him for the rest of the game.
It's going to be huge because Celtic will know that he's vulnerable at this moment in time.
So they'll be, as I said, playing balls on top of him, forcing the ball back to him, chasing everything down.
it does only, again, the two centre-backs are sort of 25 yards out, I think if Mullin had gave himself three or four yards further back, then he's allowed to take that touch, and it would allow him the time, but he's far too casual, and again, being the first minute in the game, I think you should just be sending up, you've got two physical strikers up there, send it up to them and keep it away from your goal.
and they're inviting the pressure onto them and Engels there had all the time in the world just opened his foot side foot and he's very unlucky and another goal here I think we'd see the end of St Mirren in the semi-final and they're trying to play it from the back again and Celtic are pressing really high and fast and making it difficult for St Mirren to get out they lost the ball unfortunately they've got it back but they need to be aware of how high Celtic are pressing because they'll hurt them if they steal the ball high up the pitch they're going to hurt them
Yeah, and the understanding's got to be there from certainly the goalkeeper and your back line of how you play out.
But I think there's certain times you can play as well.
It's a semi-final we need to remember.
And I think the first 10 minutes in the game is so important that you don't concede.
Obviously St Mirren have now gifted Celtic a goal, but I just feel as if there's the times you can play out from the back.
You don't need to be predictable and play all the time.
But I feel as if they're...
I think the positive is even look at the first half they were in control of the first half they didn't play their brilliant best but they were certainly in control of the game they got that early goal and then they get the goal right on half time that settles them down I think the intensity will be what Martin O'Neill will say when they drop the intensity they're vulnerable they're vulnerable they'll lower other teams into the game that's what happened today and you've got to give St Mirren credit for that
Yeah, and it was also fired at him, so he had to take a touch there.
