What is happening in those communities?
What is the perceptions and the beliefs and how do you navigate around those?
you talked about Health First value-based program and the close collaboration with your hospital systems in the city.
Can you talk about how that collaboration translates into supporting health equity?
So from this conversation, I see that you've made a strong combination of being hyperlocal with a strong community engagement, partnerships both with the community and the providers, and both sharing tools and data and collaboration, but also putting the financial arrangements in place.
You talked about digital first, but not digital only, as a way to help accelerate access to care for all the populations.
And you talk about data and analytics to help inform some of those interventions.
So the question for you is, what are some of your biggest lessons from the pandemic?
And what of those interventions that we talked through will you carry forward?
Errol, if you could go back in time, what would you change about your approach during the pandemic?
Can you talk about some of the things that you did at Health First to get the organization to be all in on health equity?
How do you see the future for health equity companies?
What structural changes do you think are needed to improve health equity across the industry?
If you had one piece of advice for organizations focusing on health equity today, what would those be?
It was very exciting to hear about what you all did at Health First and how you took a holistic approach, a member and community center approach, leveraging technology, leveraging partnerships, leveraging data.
And I really appreciate your thoughts on how we could, as a community and as an industry, make progress on those goals.
Thank you.
Thank you very much for that time.
Errol, thank you so much for your time.
I think this was a fascinating discussion.
