And what is it called?
Witness coaching?
Isn't there like some way in which you like can't, you can't like cue a witness.
You can't have like, you know, flashcards in the gallery of the courtroom to influence the witness.
When you're on the stand, you're just supposed to be speaking from memory, you know, without kind of being coached.
Yeah, you can coach them beforehand.
You can put them in a conference room for weeks on end if you want and scenario play and walk them through the process.
But once they're on the stand, they are on their own and there is no one is allowed to influence the proceedings of that individual on the stand.
So they can't, you're right, hold up signs from the gallery.
They can't use electronic devices to sort of talk in their ear.
They can't use anything like that.
It has to be completely independent otherwise.
the judicial process is tainted and taintable.
And in this case, it was a trial in insolvency and company's court.
And the individual who had launched the claim was on the stand.
And as it turns out, he was wearing a pair of smart glasses and somebody was coaching him live as he was giving his testimony.
Unfortunately,
uh you know the technology failed at one point the obviously the bluetooth connection between the phone his phone and the smart glasses was lost and so all of a sudden the individual who was doing the coaching the voice came out of his uh his smartphone and everyone could hear it on the speakerphone so guy got busted
Well, if that hadn't happened, then he would have just been able to cheat in court with these smart glasses.
Although, no, because the judge thought something was wrong.
