Block that time.
Protect it like a meeting with your CEO.
And don't let other people's urgencies steal that time from you.
Rule number two, badge similar tasks.
Context switching drains energy faster than almost anything.
So I batch.
All meetings in one block, usually afternoons.
All admin work together.
All creative work when my brain is open.
All emails in two to three time blocks instead of checking them constantly.
Why?
Because every time you switch contexts, your brain has to reboot.
