They're a listed company, so they're trying to talk to their shareholders about
and explain how they're going to ensure that they get the maximum return for their shareholders, get the biggest profit possible.
But they have to be careful about the way that they frame this quest for profit at a time when people are hurting.
And so they want to be talking about doing the right thing by their customers.
And that is a difficult balance.
They have this court action pending.
It's unrelated to these current price freeze.
But they are conscious of making sure that they're working within the bounds of the law.
And obviously, they contest the legal case against them by the ACCC.
But this is going to be a difficult time for them to play through.
And as you point out, she spoke about the last outbreak of inflation and the way that they dealt with that.
And they think there are lessons to be learned from that experience.
Yeah, I think the Audi, it's important to bring up Audi because part of what the big supermarket, the big two say is that they are facing increased competition.
Interestingly, we have had an update from Audi regarding its profit this week as well.
Interestingly, Audi's 2025 profit did fall about roughly 19% for last year.
And that seems to be because of pricing competition between them and the big two also.
Perhaps it's just a more difficult journey for Aldi when you are now have such considerable size within the Australian market.
And this is what the big two will say, right?
When people say there is gouging going on and that they're taking advantage of their market power, they'll say, well, actually, there is real price competition.
