like the leadership aspect for me is like something that is a part of my game.

Like I can't, I can't just leave it at home and show up to the field and not do it.

Like it's, it's what gets me out of bed every morning.

I feel like, so I want to be, you know, I want to be the voice.

I want to be the example for a lot of these guys.

And if it helps somebody make the MLB because of it, then I did a good job.

Yeah, definitely the starters this year in Vancouver were incredible.

Johnny and Nolan were just lights out every single year or every single start.

It felt like, you know, as a position player, you go out there and you're like, you got a shot to win today and we just have to put up three runs.

And so, yeah.

Going out there playing defense behind those guys is awesome.

Their stuff is nasty.

I've never faced either one of them in spring training yet.

Don't really want to.

And so glad I get to play defense and not offense against them.

In college, yes.

And then spring training, I think it was legit.

Like my first spring training at that last spring training was against him.

And I'm like, what are we doing?

yeah it's for me like i have very little success off of them so i can't give a great scouting report but his fastball to me like when it looks like it's in the dirt it's at the knees and when it looks like it's at the belt it's at my head and i swing it the wrong one and take the right one and so uh
