She says that books with notes are mailed to us from a group called Book Talk, for which we pay $5 each.
Books are chosen at the beginning of the year from a list supplied.
Everyone's usually read the book, she says, and we always have a spirited discussion with many different points of view.
We also heard from Bob from Canberra, who's part of an audiobook group that meets at the Canberra Blind Society.
There are also specialist book clubs.
We've heard about a yoga book club, sci-fi and fantasy book clubs.
