You can almost hear the music as you're reading.
But then let's talk about the second half because it's a very big departure in style and tone because it's the coming of age parts happened.
Yeah.
Now there is the age.
They've reached their 50s or, you know, early 50s and it's not a secret Tully's been given bad news by a doctor and he reaches out to Jimmy for consolation.
Yeah, it's a great portrait of a group of friends and it actually made me think of an old edition of the magazine Granta or Granta from, I don't know, decades ago.
And it was called The Group and each writer had been asked to go and find a picture of a group that they were involved with when they were young and then use that as the source material for writing for the issue.
And just amazing stories.
And it really, for me, and this book does it too, reminds you that there is a golden hour in your life.
You'll never know which hour it is out of all the hours that you live.
But there's a golden period in which it happens where you have these friends and they are the most wonderful, the most brilliant, the most funny.
They understand you and you understand them.
And
And it is the time.
It is the time.
And for the rest of our lives, maybe we look back at that and we wonder, but they'll always be there in our hearts.
So, you know, what he's trying to preserve here is something so, well, glittering and beautiful and as solid as gold.
So sometimes perhaps the effort he's put in does show a little
Yeah, look, it is a great book.
I can't wait to give it to people.
