And we actually, you start, you already hear about what robots are learning at the moment and you kind of, you know, Ishiguro is forcing us to face that question or face that thought about whether we really are essentially anything special other than to ourselves and the people who love us.
and construct us through the prism of that love.
I also got the feeling there were a couple of things in there that he was planning on exploring but he never went there.
Like the bull.
What was the thing about the bull?
Yeah, the one climbing out of the hole.
I also think that he really tried to overcompensate for that in the last third of the book.
I felt there was like a lot, like there was like a world dump in the last third and where, you know, we're learning about where, you know, the father was living in this gated community where they were, it was, again, you got a better kind of taste of the class division.
And also the resistance movement was, they were all there, but they weren't, they were sort of left unexplored.
So I just felt there was,
Either it was an editorial choice or he just thought, you know, it's enough in there to just leave the tiny tastes to help build the world.
There are a few conveniences, I think, as well.
Like, even the fact that, you know, she was at the dinner with Rick and Vance when they go to talk about Rick entering a college.
You know, she shouldn't have really been there, let's be honest.
But, like, I think there was, there were a few conveniences that Ishiguro used, which I think, you just give him a leave pass because the rest, you know, the book is, in my, you know,
so strong and it's so beautifully realized that i'll allow him a few you know a little a few little uh misses here and there but there were some things that i thought if you really want to subject it to scrutiny of how clara would actually work in the real world didn't quite hold up yeah
She's amazing.
Beautiful.
Amazing.
Oh, and Miss Kenton.
