So there are people who are very polite.

They used to knock on the door and, you know, ask Marlene, what is this tree?

Can I pick her fruit?

And she would actually be very kind.

She would say, you know, you can get the broom and get that one or you can pick if anything's on the floor.

However, if she does see you vandalising the tree, she will be out there with her walking stick and she will be cursing.
