No, nor do I think.
I mean, if anything, we've moved further into our respective corners, especially with everything that's going on with Trump now.
Like, I'm 100% of the mind that we live in a dictatorship now.
He controls everything with no recourse.
You've got ICE murdering people now with no investigations.
That dude who killed Rene Good, to my knowledge,
ICE has basically taken him away.
He's in hiding now.
And they're protecting him from even being investigated.
I don't know what else to call it other than a dictatorship.
And my sister feels similarly.
She and I now are even further left because of all this stuff.
My parents are further right because they're like, finally, Trump's winning.
But the show isn't really about changing anybody's mind.
It really is about the idea that we have to keep talking to each other, not just me and my parents,
but anybody who's on the opposite sides of this divide, because there's going to come a day when Trump is not in this shit.
And then what?
We've just got the split country that won't talk to each other because you did vote for Trump or whatever the case may be.
I think it's crucially important to keep talking to one another,
so that the powers that be, Trump and the kind of right-wing media engine, can't use that against you.
