I get two days off.
We go Godman Corbin and I can actually go back to the room and take a nap instead of digging deeper.
So it's one of these things that just run the video.
You guys are in charge for two days.
I mean, Steinbrenner was very similar to Yankee Stadium.
It's a hitter's ballpark, but it just, I think the practice environment, it being 100 degrees, rainy, very humid, it just was tough to get our work in.
So I think despite the drop being a pitcher's ballpark, the hitters are happy to be back here.
72 degrees, we get quality work in.
A little more stability in your daily routine, whereas at Steinbrenner, it was a nice setup, but just the weather did not cooperate.
And then we were loaded heavy at home the first half and then on the road the second half.
So it was just a tough year combined with all those obstacles.
So everybody's very happy to be back on the track.
Well, it's one of these things that everybody talks about this exit velocity and the things like that, that is all available, but we practice on slowing him down.
If he hits ball over a hundred miles per hour in the cage, I kick him out.
It's one of these things that if I could hit like him, I would probably want to hit it 115 every time, but you know, it's about slowing down.
And it's, it's one of these things that the more we get to work with exit velocity, we realize it's a false narrative.
because you're crashing you're doing things that don't work in the game so what he's learning is that slower is better and leaves that next gear available for the game but it's a it's a tough message to be convicted in because if I could hit the ball like to him I would want to do it every time and put on shows and sometimes he gets carried away rightly so but it's just a reminder hey slow down and it there's the sky's the limit with him I've never been around a talent like him before
He embraces everybody's personality.
We're all different upbringings, and he respects that.
So he gets to know why you believe in what you believe and encourages different ideas.
