What's more, I guess, like interesting in a way, is it liquid getting in... Fuck, where was I going to go with this?
Is it actually...
Hang on.
You guys go.
Let me rethink this.
Well, this is the sentiment of the liquid argument that I don't understand is like โ
The whole NA scene from those emails felt like they felt like betrayed like liquid like dipped out of the scene and like doesn't give a fuck about it and I wanted to be like, I don't know they were the first big organization to invest in North America back in like 2014 they were the first organization like of any kind of scale that came in and actually did buy a North American team when all the European teams were getting signed.
they came into the na side of things and built that up so i mean they've been there and i think that most recent switch to me the way i look at it is you know they were one of the best organ they are one of the biggest and best orgs in counter-strike and at a certain point like you can't just rebuild in north america coming out of covid when the scene is fucking dead like
When I look at that time period looking back, I'm like, what option did they actually have?
Like imagine a world where 2019 you just ran off the Grand Slam.
You have all these high profiles.
You're in the finals of all these big events.
You sign partnerships based off the exposure that your team is getting at those big events.
So you can't all of a sudden then like go back and rebuild and not be able to fulfill also business obligations, right?
There's layers to it, right?
But I think the thing is... Now, the fans probably don't care about that in the same way, which is fair play.
They're not, they're not wrong.
Well, here's so this was the point I was going to bring up previously that I kind of forgot or couldn't find a way to word it.
I guess I guess the biggest I guess my angle to that I look at this with that I think there actually is a little bit of an issue would be is it more important that like an organization like liquid gets access to the major and we have them in the major cycle and everything that that an organization of that size and stature brings along or is it more damaging that we're now
undermining the confidence of investing in the na scene through this vrs switch you know like is there any of that element into it you know what i mean because think about think about the damage it did when esl took away the teams that had qualified to pre-covid yeah think of the damage that did to the na scene and the teams that were on like the second tier amateur level and we're like
