They feel like their lives are as important and alive now as they ever were.
At the same time, I didn't want to romanticize being older.
I mean, I'm 50, I was going to say 53, I'm 54, and things happen to my body.
I've got a terrible back.
I think I've started to get arthritis in my thumbs, which has happened like about two weeks ago.
Well, this really should have happened while I was writing the book because I could have used it.
And I imagine those things are not going to go away.
So I just sort of pushed them a little bit.
So I wanted to be real about changes happen in the body.
There are vulnerabilities that you work around that doesn't stop these women from doing anything particularly.
But I mean, Jude's back problem is my back problem, right?
And it's funny seeing these reviews saying, you know, she doesn't shy away from the terrible things of the human body.
I'm like, that's my body.
What are you talking about?
It's not that bad.
It's an amazing experience to work at the Charles Perkins Centre, which is a science research facility at the University of Sydney.
And because they are a bunch of amazing geniuses, it's a multidisciplinary research facility.
And the idea is to help prevent chronic disease and obesity and cardiovascular disease.
to change global health.
