I mean, I think our culture is drenched in that horror and disgust and that's one of the reasons I wanted to
write about this.
But these women are not in any kind of decay, I think.
One's got a bad back, one's got a, you know, and they've got a couple of bunions or something.
I mean, Adele is kind of a bit disgusted by the other women's bodies because they're not as great as hers is.
And they also look at Adele and think, oh, God, she's so deluded.
Look at her wearing those clothes that are way too young for her.
They're also a bit jealous of her extreme flexibility.
Wow, that's an interesting question.
Will men ever have the kinds of friendships of that intensity and depth that last for that long?
Look, I think plenty do, actually.
I hate kind of generalising that way about men's friendships are like that and women's are like that because we all know that within that there's a million different variations.
But in my own life, I certainly find that...
My friendships with women are a lot more kind of... I'm making a kind of, I don't know, see an enemy movement with my fingers here.
You know, we discuss everything a million times more than my husband does with his friends.
And there's much more vocalised complexity.
I don't think there is any less complexity in my husband's friendships, but...
He's not every man, so I don't know what men's friendships are like in general.
I do think women have always been more open.
Culturally, we have been encouraged to be more openly together with each other.
