Well, thank you. But I also want to make this point about that interaction is if she had gotten me just a month earlier, my reaction would have been what you're talking about. The timing was perfect because I had just started therapy. So I had enough of a kernel of self-awareness to understand that defensiveness means usually that you're wrong. Right, right, right.

Exactly. There's another story in the book where I talk about the same thing. Like I got fired from this temp job because I was temping when I came out here to try to make ends meet. I can't do any sort of office admin. I can't even transfer a phone call. I am a Luddite through and through.
