Well, actually, so one of my best friends, Paul Beckett, we went to high school together and he moved out there and he was a professional background actor.
Like an extra.
He loved it because it was, you know, day to day.
You get a project.
You don't have to prepare much.
No lines to memorize.
You know what the hardest thing about doing background work?
Have you ever done background work?
It's harder than it seems because...
You know, if they're shooting a party scene and your background, you have to stand behind the main actors and act like you're talking.
But you can never say anything.
No, you can't speak out loud.
But you just, you act like you're talking and you make eye contact with the person that you're talking to.
And then you take turns mouthing words, but try not to look crazy doing it.
It's hard.
I found it to be hard.
Oh, yeah, because you have to do it as an actor, too.
