He can come into your room and grab your sock when it's on the floor, or he can take it from next to the side of the pool before you spontaneously jump in the pool.

Wherever the socks are, he's able to access them.

Now, there are two remedies, as far as I can tell.

There's shut your door religiously to your room.

And latch it.

And then you can leave your socks wherever you like.

Or you can do as I do, which is when the socks come off, they will stay in my hand forever.

and go into the hamper.

We had a very long sock safety conversation one night some weeks ago with Phil sawing logs on the bed, lying on top of the comforter.

And at a certain point after our lengthy sock safety conversation, Phil got up to go into the next room to expose the two socks he was laying on, which were on top of the bed.

Now,

The part where you wear socks and then remove socks when you're done, I'm not confused about that part.

And the thing that's interesting about socks.

Many other things like this is when you tell people about it, they explain to you what happened.

They go, I had my socks on.

I was watching TV and I took my socks off.

So that's what happened.

I hope you feel pretty stupid right now.

I understand this process.

And what I'm saying is, is we need to be very diligent about this because the dog's having seizures in the middle of the night.
