Is it something that you can relate to?
I mean, or does it feel, I don't know, how does it feel for you?
Because you are for a lot of people that eternal cool girl.
Yeah, no, I know.
I mean, it's like, I can only imagine what that feels like because everybody seems to have an opinion and yet nobody actually is like your actual someone who actually knows you.
So it must be weird to have all these interpretations of who they think you are as a person when that's all a projection.
Yeah, I have to say before I go on to my next question, I have a little fangirl moment to go on because I have to say that High Fidelity got me through the pandemic.
It was one of my favorite projects of yours.
And it just I remember weeping.
I don't know what I mean.
It was such an emotional time.
And I thought you did such a great job of portraying quite a story.
a complex character and i really enjoyed it but so i'm really excited to see that you've got a new film coming out before and how to how to rob a bank which we'll discuss about a bit um have you started to think about your press tour looks um can you tell us a bit about the movie and and your role in it i haven't thought about my looks yet at all um i should get on that probably i don't
I've loved listening to your interviews about directing for the first time and always knowing that you could act if you like movies, but not realizing that you could pursue directing, which I think is always kind of a bold, brave move.
And it's so great to see more female black directors.
Specifically, Blink Twice was such a fun movie.
Did it give you, did it whet your appetite for more?
What did you learn?
How did it change the way you approach the craft of acting too?
We should go back and watch it again now that I'm not such an emotional wreck.
