So my mindset was I want to be at the tournament.
So to be there was incredible.
I fought so hard to get there back from my injury, an ACL injury, which is so tough.
So to be out for 11 months and set your goal on something that seems so far away, just to be at the Euros was incredible.
absolute honor but to then step onto the pitch every time you represent your country it's it's a huge honor and you step on with such pride so to go on the pitch at Wembley and I just wanted to win so badly I'm a really bad loser so I was just like I just want to win and um yeah I remember we win a corner and I say to Lauren Hemp like let's make this count
And my big toe, I remember just swinging for it, missing the first one and then poking my toe to it and a whole whirlwind of emotions, not just scoring against Germany in the Euro final, but actually like feeling like I've achieved something in terms of back from my injury and
Yeah, I felt so much emotion in that moment.
And to be part of a special team that went on to inspire so many, it was a proud moment.
And to see my family in the stands when I celebrated, I think everything just seemed like a pinch me moment, like wake up, Chloe.
I think the environment that we create helps you to just stay focused throughout and switch off as well.
We had a lot of time in that 22 Euros.
We was going out on boats along Kingston, along the Thames, and I think just going for walks.
And then it was COVID, so we wasn't allowed out too much after that.
We had to stay in our bubble, but yeah.
We enjoyed each other's company so much.
We had like a basketball machine that you see in like the arcade.
So we had that in there.
The girls were watching Love Island.
So we enjoyed each other's company a lot.
And then to go on the pitch, then it was just do your job.
