I wonder if it is more because of you look at some of the free agent signings the Steelers brought in last year, Juan Thornhill, Darius Slay, and how they didn't last long with the Steelers.

And maybe there's some players that felt a bit sour about that.

And you also look at what kind of contracts the Steelers handed out last year.

The Steelers really weren't.

dishing out too many long-term re-signings or anything like that.

And I think that's part of the structure that the Steelers are kind of in right now.

If you look at next year's cap is what it is, but the Steelers in two years have a lot of flexibility.

I think a lot of that, I wrote about this after we talked to Omar Khan here, but you look at the options, the Steelers have a ton of cap space to sign Omar Khan's

First draft class, that's of course, Broderick Jones, Joey Porter Jr., Keanu Benton, Darnell Washington, Nick Herbig, five guys who are all pretty good contributors to this team right now.

So I think part of it also is, you know, maybe it's not fair to Omar, but I think part of it is, you know, there's guys on the team who are like, hey, I haven't gotten the money that I want yet.

And, you know, I'm looking to see if I'm going to be sticking here more than the next couple of years.

So I think it's somewhat circumstantial.

But, you know, you also look at the other grades and maybe there's a sense that like, hey, outside of Mike Tomlin, we had a lot of complaints last year.

And Omar was just part of that equation from the players grading sense.

I mean, the Steelers are definitely looking at all options.

That's one thing that, you know, that they, they do as a front office, they're keeping things open.

Uh, but I really think that they don't want to necessarily do that while they're also paying DK Metcalf, especially when this is such a strong wide receiver class.

When I, when I listed my top 100 the other week, I listed this, there were 16 wide receivers in it.

And that those tied with edge Russians for like the most here.
