Tony Batista, you included a picture of his open stance, the highest pull rate on record, one of the highest fly ball rates on record.
When you come across a guy like that and you're remembering a guy like Tony Batista, who Jays fans remember well from 2000, how much do you wish some of these more advanced stuff we have now went back to that era to capture those guys more in a way that we capture guys now?
It is great.
And it is, I would assume, look, he's not the best Blue Jay of all time, but I would bet for people roughly my age, it is the most mimicked batting stance in Canadian baseball history.
Like Larry Walker and Carlos Delgado and Batista, you could do the bat flip, but the stances weren't as outlier as Tony Batista, so they weren't quite as fun.
Davey, this was a lot of fun.
Really appreciate you doing it, man.
Davey Andrews of Fangraphs.
Go check out those Mullins and Kwan and Simpson pieces.

Jays lose two of three to the Astros.
They'll now try to have a better series against another team in the AL West, the Texas Rangers, who come in in a three-way tie for second in the American League West with the Athletics and those Astros.
