Something that should be data-based, scientific opinion-based has become a political football.
Tribal membership is defined by your set of beliefs.
And if you don't like immigration, you know everybody else's beliefs.
You know all the other beliefs that person holds.
It's part of the tribal set of beliefs.
And if you are...
on the right of the political spectrum these days, then you are a typically, not always, a climate change denier.
It is one of the phenomena of the age.
I certainly lay part of the blame on social media and all that technology stuff.
And one final remark from me about technology today, it certainly won't be the last remark I ever make about technology, is that one of the emerging trends that's really interesting from a global macro point of view, Jim,
is this technology race between China and America.
And I know China always interests you.
America clearly has the lead in AI in particular and software and chips in particular and is dominating the world in that regard.
But what's emerging, and this loops back to what I was saying about smart glasses and robots, is the country that has the lead in robotics because they have the lead in manufacturing
and rare earth production and all that good stuff is China.
So if the future is we are all going to be robotized, then we're all going to be robotized by Chinese robots if these trends continue.
And that has not just economic implications, but of course, it has huge geopolitical implications.
And I'm not sure that any of them are particularly good.
Yeah.
Their stock of enriched uranium is 5% of the deal, and I wouldn't describe it as a deal.
