So there will be charges on tankers going through the Strait of Hormuz.

The Iranians will get everything that they want and Trump will get absolutely nothing.

And all of these lives lost, all of these billions spent will have been for absolute nothing, which is why it's really interesting that the hardliners in the Republican Party,

are saying, hang on a minute, surrender is not something we do, is it?

Absolutely.

And I think the way in which they mastered the art of the deal was by never reading that book, ghostwritten by anybody else.

So, yeah, the Iranians have played a blinder in the most awful way imaginable, and they've won.

It is the most extraordinary set of circumstances that I've seen in a very long time.

But it's going to run and run, Jim.

I think this low level conflict that we've had an exchange of fire this morning, notwithstanding peace talks going on.

I mean, it's a looking glass world, isn't it, where you can say things like that.

I think that it's the classic oxymoron contradiction in terms you're fighting.

while at the same time in the middle of a ceasefire.

I mean, the fact that we can say things like this with a straight face suggests that, you know, we're not taking this with the seriousness that it deserves and the analysis that it deserves, which brings me all the way back to my original point about social media, is that nobody takes anything seriously anymore.

short-term dopamine hits on social media, and that excludes serious analysis, serious thinking.

We are not a serious people anymore.
