I'm a little nervous about Giancarlo.

As a right-handed hitter in this lineup, very left-handed, he is a huge cog.

Yeah, I mean, but to be fair, I mean, he hasn't really been that race car in his career at all.

And so I guess my question is, because I know the organization has shown the utmost faith in him, and we know how you guys feel about him, how we feel about him.

We want him to succeed, but he just has been the same offensive player, inconsistent a week here, a week there.

Maybe outside the postseason in 24, we really had a good stretch there.

It was important to get to the World Series.

I guess my question to you is,

Is there a world, is there a scenario where Caballero or any other player that might come to the team between now and the All-Star break or whenever, is there a scenario where Caballero could play himself into the starting shortstop of the New York Yankees?

Or is that position given to Volpe when he comes back?

But there's a timeline on how long we give Anthony Volpe to become that player, right?

When do you want that timeline to be up?

I just think we should be open to everything.
