Alex, whose parents, both of his parents were killed, Boris and Sophia.
He lives in Colorado, but he was back in Australia when they were killed.
And I met him really late one night in Bondi.
He told me, as traumatic as it was to see the dash cam video of what happened to his parents, he was able to see that they died as heroes.
I mean...
It's pretty inspiring stuff when you can speak to someone that can speak so passionately about how their parents were killed, but how proud he was of them.
And it brings home the reality of how horrible this crime was.
But even in the midst of all that evil and sadness, there's some remarkable Australians that did some incredible things.

Yeah.
He's a cool guy, yeah.
He's a cool guy.
No, but he's a proper hero.
I mean, he's still got bullets in him.
I think he was saying on social media yesterday that he's still under attack for being such a hero, but we've got to rally around him.
Ultimately, we all live here.
We all live in the same city.
We've got to look out for one another.
And his instinctive bravery, the heroism he showed, where he went from ordinary citizen to genuine bona fide hero, it's inspiring stuff.
And we need to draw on stories like that because otherwise we're just left with how horrifying and sad it's been.
