the next big thing, like, could he kind of come in and swoop in and, and, and steal all the thunder from some of these guys that, you know, the McKenna's and the, the others.
Cause like, you know, you look at this group, there aren't a ton of guys that I could say that guy's going to look great in an NHL lineup next season.
So, you know, I think that's going to be really, really interesting to watch, but that's one player where I'm like, I have a feeling we're going to look back and he's going to be the guy that's like, he should have gone higher.
No, no, no, no.
He's been a big-time riser.
The thing is that I think
What I'm talking about is like, could he even vault into that, you know, that group of six or seven guys that people are talking about for the very top of the draft?
Yeah, I mean, I think he has reason for that.
You know, I think that we've seen it.
If he had played a full season, you know, what would that have looked like?
He also, you know, we've looked at his numbers and his numbers don't pop like some of the guys that have been really high draft picks out of the national team program.
But, you know, in having a lot of conversation with scouts and certainly watching it myself, this was not a very strong NTDP team.
So the under-18 team really struggled over the course of the whole season.
They struggled collectively to score.
They had lost, you know, J.P.
Hurlburt in the offseason, who was a guy that probably would have put up a fair number of points and things like that.
But, you know, Cullen...
was, you know, kind of just continue to rise.
And he had some great moments at the USA, the CHL USA prospects challenge, and then under 18 worlds and, you know, various games against college programs were like, okay, there's something here.
And, you know, I think that for him, and for this, this draft class, because there's so much uncertainty, it does allow players like him to potentially sneak further up the draft board than you think.
