You're talking about stifling.
Urban dictionary says a combination of the words strife and trifle.
Strife meaning difficulty.
Trifle meaning not really very important.
Woke up, fell out of bed, dragged a comb across my head.
And ironically, as I've left the classroom, the courses that I've created that have given students more real-world experience, more autonomy in their learning, are gone.
The school was unable to sustain them without my presence.
my many attempts over the years to create an environment which other teachers learned and became involved.
How scalable are these ideas in classrooms to create environments that I think are so desperately needed for students?
I really enjoyed this episode because what she said to me felt very intuitive and obvious.
My question is, what she described sounds a lot like the Montessori system.
How is what she's describing different or is it different at all?
