I think the.
If Democrats had simply pursued and this this is where I get this is where can't we have some pragmatism in any of our politics, in any of our election rules?
If you gave a bill that did the following, OK, you had to show voter ID to go to the polls.
And then you did what Democrats want, which is every voter in every state would have the right to vote by mail for any reason.
No excuse, absentee voting and 15 days of early voting.
You do that.
And maybe you agree that, hey, and you've got to get your ballot in by Election Day.
There's no there's no fudging that.
Right.
You got to put that your voter ID.
There is, you know, in the old days of give each side gets something that they care about.
But that isn't what anybody's interested in.
Nobody seems to be that interested in actually passing any of these reforms.
And the only way you're going to get reforms like this is if you do one at a time and you start from the middle out and you start from sort of common sense pragmatism.
People want convenience voting.
We're very busy.
They want that.
And they do.
Hey, we show our ID almost everywhere else.
They don't think that that's an extra burden.
