I have removed... I was just trying to think for the last two hours since one of your producers rang me to go on the show.
I think I've removed about seven clamps in the last eight years.
Cutting locks.
Well, the best thing, as I say to everyone, is if you go into Lidl's, when they have their tool sale on, it's 90 euro, around 90 euro for a cordless grinder.
You get a battery and a couple of discs with that.
And you'll have the lock taken off in less than 30 seconds, off the clamp.
And the whole idea is you leave the clamp there and they will never bring it to court or never, you'll never hear anything you get about it.
So basically, you are talking about private car parks.
You won't get away with it with Clare County Council or Dublin County Council if it's a council-owned car park.
But they won't clamp you anyway.
They will mainly, say, give you a ticket or a fine and you'll have to pay that fine because if you don't pay the fine, they'll bring you to court.
But the private companies will not bring you to court because it's not worth their while, CiarΓ‘n, bringing you to court for a β¬120 clamping fine.
And that's the reality of it.
I have a business in the age of 25 years and I will not bring someone to court who owes me money for less than β¬2,000 because it's not worth your while.
And that is the way the law is at the minute.
And that is just a way of taking advantage of the situation that the likes of myself, I will do it all day long because people have done it to me in the past.
I don't know whether it's criminal damage or not.
To be honest with you, I don't really care in a sense, CiarΓ‘n, because I think these clamping companies are money-making machines.
And if you want the typical example of why I cut two clamps one Sunday morning, if you want to hear it, it's up to you.
Going out in Naist for a couple of drinks one Saturday night and parking in a private car park and paying for 12 hours parking.
