And look, if that had happened, I think it would have been a terrible way for probably Ireland's greatest foreign import to have bowed out on a brilliant career.

Now, whether or not Andy Farrell will recall Bundiaki against Wales or against Scotland remains to be seen.

But my sense is that he will certainly be back in the mix.

Yeah, so my understanding, Will, is that he fractured his thumb in training on Tuesday, like a very innocuous incident.

I think they were doing a passing drill and his thumb got caught in a jersey or something like that, or maybe it was a tackling drill, something really innocuous anyway.

And yeah, just so unfortunate because I think all things being equal, I think Andy Farrell would have rolled the dice on Hugo Keenan's fitness if he had been 90% fit for next week.

He's that important to the Ireland team.

a risk in terms of his lack of game time this season.

But I think it's a chance that Ireland would have taken.
