So they're not exactly star names that you're listing off that Bortwick is looking for from a response.

Tom Roebuck, he hasn't had a great Six Nations either.

He comes back in.

So it is a huge game for England.

But it's an even bigger game, I think, for Bortwick's tenure as England head coach.

Because if he had the embarrassment of going to Rome, losing three games in a row, I think he will come under enormous pressure.

A lot of people in England are unimpressed by Borswick.

He's not a very impressive character in public, but as long as the team are winning, I think that's fine and the paper's over the cracks a little bit.

But even in the press conference a couple of weeks ago in Twickenham after Ireland beat them.

he just doesn't inspire confidence and I don't know what he's like behind the scenes maybe he's very different I don't get the sense that he is it is a point that I've made on a couple of pods now he went and got Lee Blackett who is a highly renowned attack coach he went and got him from Bath

Blackett was one of the great things that Johan van Graan did as a head coach because he kind of was the ying to his yang but he's got Blackett in and we haven't seen any of that attacking imprint at all because he wants to play Borthwick ball but now that he's picked the likes of Finn Smith I think Eddie makes a really good point

Is Finn Smith going to be asked to play like he plays for Northampton, which is scintillating attacking rugby?

Or is he going to be asked to play Borthwick ball in the same vein as George Ford?

So these are the big questions that are hanging over England.
