What new laws introduced?
Like what things would you be seeing in the City Centre?
I don't know if it came up when you were talking to him, but Jim O'Callaghan himself, when he was talking about this before, said, you know, he was worried about... How did he put it?
He said, the possession of knives has become normalised.
And he talked about young lads carrying them at night and some of them carry them because they think they need to, because other people are going to be carrying them.
But then what happens is...
There's alcohol and drugs and aggression and a loss of temper.
And if you have it, you'll use it.
Yeah, we don't, listen, it's a fair question.
It's absolutely a question that will be asked by Gardaí.
The only reason I kind of don't want to explore that is because it's an active investigation, Dennis, that's all.
And it's just the last thing any of us want to do is to prejudice an investigation and things go awry because of something said here.
But it absolutely will be asked, I'm sure, as to what happened at the venue, around the venue, on the street afterwards.
All of that is absolutely being looked into.
Yeah.
Respect for what, for Gardaí and stuff, for authority, for the rules.
in Dublin I mean I don't go around carrying a knife none of my family do none of my friends do do you not Dennis do you not worry say you know the point that Jim O'Callaghan makes that you know when there's a culture of it that some young fella could go out with a knife because because partly because he thinks other lads have it you know it's it's part of the scene and if you think that other people are going to be carrying a knife maybe you need one for protection well if that is the norm then we are in serious trouble hmm
Stephen, what do you think about that idea of, and this doesn't apply to every single person carrying a knife, but that a certain amount are maybe doing it because it's become part of the culture.
They think they need to.
Because I mentioned the UK and they've tried lots of different things, you know, much tougher sentencing.
