Because I was so terrified that DCF, if they found out that he'd been in our house even for a short time, that they would take the kids and place them in foster care. So I was just going to be really rigid with their rules. And if they said he wasn't supposed to be here, I was going to adhere to that.

So they did kind of get into it, which was unusual because they had a good relationship. They were really close and, you You know, Tristan just was not acting like he would normally act. And I ended up calling the police. The police came. And really what we wanted them to do that night was just tell him to leave.
