Jorge Mateo is getting starts at short.
Now Kim's back in there tonight.
He does that almost unapologetically and saying, listen, we're here to win.
Like we got off to a great start and we're going to continue to work to win.
But yet he also has the respect of all 26 guys.
He is, yeah, and I think it's, I can't remember if it's taekwondo or jiu-jitsu, but yeah, I mean, listen, his arms, I mean, you look at him as a player.
So he and I actually, I grew up in the same hometown in suburban New York, so I've always known Walt Weiss.
He's a little bit older than I am, but he was the big name in our little town.
And you remember when he played, I mean, he was a good player, really good player, right?
Won a world championship, rookie of the year.
But he wasn't built like he is now.
He's the opposite of the rest of us, right?
I mean, the career ends and a lot of us, we get a little bit soft and those muscles really aren't there if they ever were there for some guys.
His arms are as big as they've ever been.
And guys talked about that in spring training.
You get there every day early and Walt Weiss was already in the weight room.
And not only was he there, but he was throwing around big weight.
And so it's one of those things like you better come ready to play because your manager's in his 60s and he looks like he could play right now.
And worst case, he's going to have your back of a fight break.
That's great stuff.
