So I thought that was really beautiful.
So November 2015, Shonda released her first book, Year of Yes, the book which candidly chronicles her moving and humorous attempts to come out of her shell by saying yes to everything that scares her.
And it was an instant New York Times bestseller.
Of course.
That book was huge.
I remember.
And Tessa, in 2017, Shonda joined the National Board of Planned Parenthood.
Later that same year,
Rhymes and Katie McGrath co-founded Time's Up, and both of them donated the funds to hire its first seven employees.
Amazing.
I had no idea that Shonda Rhimes created Time's Up.
Wow.
Maybe I did know that, but that's just so cool.
And I'm like, doesn't that make sense?
What a woman.
