Well, I am a proud West Australian, so I wanted to call out a few wonderful West Australian authors that I would love to see championed on this list.

I'd also like to call out a book called Extinctions by Josephine Wilson, which won the Miles Franklin some years ago.
It is a book, and as a West Australian, when you open that, you can feel the sun beating down on you.

I've never had such a kind of transportative experience in picking up a book and feeling like I'm reading my home.
