Is it a sport where you need to have the grant and the sponsor and a really supportive family to be able to do this?

Because that part where you talk about being in UCD and the track is suddenly ripped up and not replaced for years and the way you had to train, you know, even with Gerry, who wasn't taking any money, you know, I mean, just it just sounds like something that happens by chance rather than by design.

Is that fair?

Yes.

800, 1000, 1500 and the mile and the mile is there as well.

And of course, you have the European gold, you have the bronze, you have the silver, you have two Olympics under your belt.
