Yeah, so a lot of people have heard of the word rehabilitation, which is after treatment, when you'd know that you need to look after yourself in the best possible way to recover as quickly as possible.
Prehabilitation is that same concept, but from the point of diagnosis.
or from a strong suspicion of cancer.
It's about making sure somebody looks after their entire self and not just their medical self.
So across the Northern Cancer Alliance, we have eight hospital trusts.
Each trust has a slightly different service.
But when we talk about rehabilitation, people have a different level of need as well.
So what everybody should be able to access is universal support, that support that would improve anybody.
Yes, it will never delay their treatment.

But what it will do is also empower an individual at a point where somebody's been told they've got cancer.
That can feel like a lot of decisions are being made for them.
So prehabilitation is something that that person can do for themselves.
That's what we hear from a lot of our patients.
What's valuable with people like Ryan and other charitable and voluntary sector organisations, they can say that in a language that isn't maybe as medicalised.
