Even with our children.
I was thinking about them because my dear friend Pam just had a new beautiful baby boy. Oh, yeah. And talking to her and thinking about those new newborn days. And those are hard days. I recall them as being very challenging days.

Yeah, the first like two weeks is really dreamy and you're just kind of recovering and getting doted on. And if you have a great partner like I did, you know, it was wonderful. Then you feel like you woke up and got hit by a truck because the sleep deprivation is no joke. Oof.

But thinking about how everything is so fleeting, like all of these stages of our children's lives, you look back on and go, oh my gosh, I wish I could squeeze this cute little two-year-old. Like when our daughter was three and had these tiny little glasses and looked so cute. And there's video of her I saw recently and I'm like, oh my gosh, wow. But that was a fleeting time.
