Nonetheless, there is a reform that's being floated, which is that these plans will only be reserved for children with the most severe and complex needs.
I know it's sort of hard as parents who have experienced what you have to imagine why anyone would think this is a good idea.

Carrie, let me ask you.
I mean, you have four children with additional needs.
The health secretary has used the word overdiagnosis.
What do you say about this idea that there is simply a limited number of people that are neurodiverse?

Are these reforms welcome?

I think we need it.
What are some good ideas?
I think I always like to return to good ideas because even if they haven't been implemented, the fact that we have them, that we know what works, is we're not waiting for something to be invented.
We have systems that we could be rolling out.
And that always makes me feel a little bit better.
So I wonder, what have you seen that could solve the send emergency?
Carrie and Rachel, thank you so much for joining me on Pod Save the UK.
