Now, when RJ's in the game, here's my thought as a defensive coach when I watch the film.
I have a feeling it's like, man, they're just going to try to get him to the outside.
And what have we seen?
We've seen a lot of stretch plays.
We've seen a lot of toss plays to RJ.
And certainly a lot of it is, I think when RJ is in the game, defenses are trying to take away that outside run because he does have that explosive speed and that explosive gameplay ability that could bust something open down the sideline.
Whereas I think Jalil used to, people used to view Jalil that way, but now we're seeing since Jalil has been in, he's hitting the inside runs and he's getting,
four or five, six yards, right?
You have to in today's game, I feel like, Sarah.
You can't just be an outside run team.
You have to find a way to make hay inside.
And there have been times where RJ, I think to start the game against the Chargers, I felt like RJ was doing a really good job going inside.
And same thing with Bo Nix.
But...
It wasn't consistent enough down the stretch, I think, throughout the game as it kind of developed after that first drive here.
So just finding a way for RJ just to continue to improve on the inside run game.
And if Denver can master that, Sarah, and if they can start hitting those inside runs consistently, now the outside runs are going to be there because the defense is going to pinch in a little bit.
They're going to try to tighten up.
And then that opens up everything in your offensive playbook.
But to your point, I think so much of that is, hey, if you haven't established this and you're trying to do different things and your personnel groupings are always changing, I think it is going to be hard to establish rhythm.
